Kingdom Karnage Guide

What is Kingdom Karnage?

Kingdom Karnage (KK) is a cross-platform virtual Trading Card Game available to play on PC and Android (Apple coming soon). All assets in the game can be withdrawn as tokenised FTs/NFTs and are infused with Enjin Cryptocurrency. KK is now fully on Enjin’s Jumpnet which means there are no gas costs at all.

The game
Each player builds a deck of up to 30 cards from varying rarities (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary) which you take into battle. The aim of each battle to reduce the enemy hero’s health to zero before he manages to deplete your hero.

Gameplay

• At the start of a match you draw 3 cards at random from your deck.
• Each card has a cooldown and requires 1-4 turns to become playable.
• At the start of each turn the cooldown of each card in your hand decreases by one.

• When a cards countdown reaches 0 you can leave it for the next turn or choose to play that card onto the battlefield by clicking on it.
• Available Drop-Zones are highlighted in GREEN.
You can only play in the first 3 rows of the battlefield.

• Select the Drop-Zone you wish to play on and the battlefield highlights in YELLOW where your character will move and in RED where your character will attack.
• When you select an available Drop-Zone you can change your mind or click again to confirm playing that character.

Your objective is to overwhelm the enemy troops and defeat your opponents hero. Each character has an attack value and a health value.
The attack power is how much damage a character deals to enemy characters and heros. When the enemy hero's health is reduced to 0 victory is yours.

As you upgrade characters their Attack Power & Health Points increase, sometimes even gaining a new ability as well.

To view all of the different characters available take a look at the card library. Most characters follow the combine rules and have 10 levels, however a few special characters are limited in supply and are dynamic in level, for more information please read the Dynamics section of this guide. Each character comes with a maximum of 3 special abilities. Each ability heavily effecting the strategy in battles and allows you to make a diverse deck different to your opponents.

All characters have a base movement speed of 2.

Dynamics

There are some special characters with a fixed supply and dynamic level, rather than levelling through tradional means their levels are controlled by the ratio of circulating supply and the number of players (player logins for the past 30 days).

Crimson Paladin has a fixed supply of 1,000. There can never be more.
Mistress of Nightmares has a fixed supply of 100. There can never be more.

The number of these 2 characters cannot go up however the number of players can. As more and more people play Kingdom Karnage the scarcity of these characters increases and so the rarity and level of the characters increases to match that. They can no longer be purchased directly they are all in players hands, the only way to buy them now is from othe players on the Enjin Marketplace

Aelene, Elrond and Gael have a slightly different dynamic mechanism. Purchaseable from the Meta City Shop.

Equipment

On the equipment page you can both select a Hero and select equipment to empower your Hero.

Core equipment drops in Dungeons.

To view all of the different equiment available take a look at the card library. Unlike characters, equipment cannot be upgraded but they do come as 5 rarities (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary) with higher rarities providing bigger bonuses.

In addition to the core game equipment items Kingdom Karnage supports a wide variety of Enjin Multiverse Equipment.
With Enjin Multiverse items having supplies out of our control those items are dynamic in power in Kingdom Karnage. The more Kingdom Karnage players the more rare the multiverse assets are considered and so their power goes up. If the supply of a Multiverse Items suddenly goes up lots they are considered more common and their power decreases.

To add equipment to your hero, select one of the available cards at the bottom of the screen. Then click on an empty Hero Slot, the screen will highlight where you can equip it. Similarly you can select a card from the bottom and click on a Hero Slot which is already in use to replace the previously chosen equipment item.

Heroes

On the equipment page you can both select a Hero and select equipment to empower your Hero.

There are currently 3 Heroes available.

1. The basic hero everyone starts with comes with 10 HP.

2. Multiverse Mike the Enjin Multiverse character comes with a health increase - currently +1 HP
Multiverse Mikes Hero HP buff is dynamic and increases as the Kingdom Karnage playerbase increases in relation to the Multiverse Mike circulating supply.

3. The Wyden is the most powerful Hero. Sold out he is only available on the jumpnet.enjinx.io marketplace from other players.
The Wyden grants a massive +5 HP at level 1. Then another +1 HP per level as you power up your Wyden. Wydens can only level by defeating other Wydens in a future 1v1 tournament.

Decks

The Deck Menu is accessed by pressing the Deck Icon on the Main Menu. In the top left you can see your Hero, clicking on the Hero's icon opens the Hero Equipment Options.

The buttons 1-5 are different deck saves. They are locked at first with only 1 deck save available.
A special item called "Codex" unlocks more deck saves and additionally increases your hero's HP when equipped. With 4 rarities of the Codex, each one granting more decks saves and more HP than the last.

"Deck Five" is the deck name underwhich you can see the "Deck Power". Deck Power is the average strength of the cards you have selected in your deck and increases/decreases when you add or remove characters from your deck.

To add characters to your deck, select one of the available cards at the bottom of the screen. Then click on an empty Deck Slot in the middle to add it to your current deck.
Similarly you can select a card from the bottom and click on a Deck Slot which is already in use to replace the previously chosen character.

Underneath each card at the bottom you can see a white number, this is how many of that card you own.
If you own more than 1 of a character you can put more than 1 into your deck. There are however limits for each Character and for higher Rarities.

You can have up to 3 of the same character in your deck, whether 3 level 1's of the same character or 1x level, 1x level 2, 1x level 3. When no more of a character is allowed in your deck it becomse "greyed out" and un-selectable.

To save you time finding the cards you want to add to your deck you can use the Filter options. Click the Filter button at the top of the screen to open the Filter options.
You can select just the rarity or just the level or just the character race. You can also select a combination refining your search by rarity, level and race. When happy with your filte selection click the Filter button again to apply those filters.

When you are happy with your deck click the "Done" button to return to the Main Menu.

Clicking the "Upgrade" button opens up the Standard Upgrade menu.
Clicking the Enchanted Coin button opens up the Epic Upgrade menu.
Clicking the yellow settings button opens up the Theme menu.

Upgrading cards

Please note that Bound cards from campaigns cannot be upgraded or withdrawn to your wallet. All cards obtained from other game modes can both be upraded and withdrawn to trade on jumpnet.enjinx.io When upgrading characters, 2 of a kind (same level, same character) are exchanged for 1 of the same character 1 level higher.
For eg, 2x level 1 Human Warrior creates 1x level 2 Human Warrior.

As you upgrade character their Attack Power & Health Points increase, sometimes even gaining a new ability as well.

To open the Upgrade Menu click on the "Upgrade" button on the Deck Menu.
The upgrade view is scrollable up and down. Any characters you have in Kingdom Karnage will show on the upgrade screen if you have 2 or more of any particular level.
If you only have 1 of a character it will not appear in the upgrade view.
If you have characters in your Enjin Wallet they will not appear in the upgrade view.

The numbers above the input boxes are the character levels.
The numbers underneath the input boxes is the amount you own in your account.
If you own characters the balance text is green.
Note you cannot input a number for level 10's because level 10 is the top level, however you can see your balance for level 10's.

For speed and ease you can upgrade multiple characters in 1 upgrade.
Enter how many of each character you would like to level up in the input boxes then click the "Confirm" button.

The view will change to show a review of the characters you are choosing to upgrade. Click "Confirm" again to make the upgrades happen.

Epic and Legendary Characters in Kingdom Karnage are so scarce there are not enough available to be combined to level up. Fortunately these rare magic coins miraculously imbue Epic and Legendary Characters with enough power to level up without combining.

The higher the Epic or Legendary Characters level is, the more Enchanted Coins are required in order to have enough magic power to make the upgrade possible. Note: The Wyden is far too powerful and cannot be manipulated by Enchanted Coins

Game currencies

There are 2 currencies used in game.

The first is the blue gem. Blue gems drop in dungeons whenever you are not lucky enough to win Characters or Equipment.

The second is the Red gem. Red gems do not drop in game, they are a premium currency used in multiple game modes.

Red gems are used in King of Karnage Mode where challengers pay a fee in red gems to challenge the current King. The current King receives red gems from challengers, earning a passive income.

The infamous Catacombs dungeon requires a Catacombs Key to enter. Key owners can lease their keys to other players and receive red gems in payment.

Both gem types can be used in game to purchase more cards. Buying 1, 5 or 10 at a time has no effect on the cards you get. The cards drawn are random and can be Common, Uncommon or Rare.

Campaigns

The first campaign you encounter is the Human Campaign, each level is designed to teach you a new character ability so that you learn game mechanics. Each campaign level rewards you with an account bound character card. Bound cards cannot be upgraded or withdrawn to your wallet. All cards obtained from other game modes can both be upraded and withdrawn to trade on jumpnet.enjinx.io

When you have completed the first 25 Human Campaign levels the Undead campaign becomes unlocked.

Challenge

Challenge Mode is a basic fun only mode. You are pitted against a random player. A chance to practice your deck without consequences.

Endurance

Endurance Mode is not for the feint hearted. The enemy boss has 999 HP, kills troops that get too close, and continually gets his deck bolstered. Fortunately the goal is not to win, simply survice as long as you can before you are defeared.
Your kill score is displayed in the bottom left corner and Blue Gems are awarded when you are defeated. The more kills you make the more gems you get.

Ranked 1v1

Ranked PvP requires a full deck of 30 cards. You can mix races.

The weekly reward is a personalised target rewarding everyone who plays at least 1 PvP match each week. Positive participation earns you a card drop and gem prize (Minimum 5 gems and 1x common card). If you maintain a score of over 2000 PvP points this goes right up to 20 gems and 2 rare cards!

Normal Dungeons

Dungeons are a 3v1 encounter with a powerful enemy rewarding players with the chance to win common, uncommon, rare, epic and legendary characters and equipment.
Epic and Legendary cards can only be obtained from playing or from other players. They are not sold in the game shop.

The first Dungeon unlocks when you have completed Level 10 of the Human Campaign. More dungeons unlock as you complete more of the Human and Undead Campaigns.

The first 6 dungeons drop 1 Blue Gem if you do not win a character or equipment card. Kargals Portal, Jail House, Throne Room drop 2 Blue Gems.

If playing a lower tier dungeon with a higher rarity card that is not allowed, it gets replaced with a random card which is allowed. You'll find the character limits displayed before starting the dungeon.

Catacombs

Catacombs Dungeon has 3 stages, the first of which is Multiverse Mike. You are given a preset deck and pitted in a 1 vs 1 dungeon battle against Multiverse Mike. Watch out though, Mike may not fight fair.

The Catacombs dungeon is guaranteed to have the best loot drops in Kingdom Karnage including guaranteed card drops! It is also the only place that certain items drop, such as enchanted coins, exclusive cosmetic items, and multiverse loot! All of your loot drop chances can be improved by owning and equipping a Lucky Trinket which levels up with each Catacombs victory.

To enter the Catacombs a Key is required…

Catacombs Keys
Each key grants its owner access to the dungeon once per day. Should you choose not to run Catacombs that day, you can lease your key out to other players. Note that leased keys continue to be leased the next day and will continually bring you passive income of red gems without logging in.

Likewise, if you don't currently own a key, you can click “Rent Key” and will be presented with the cheapest available Catacombs key available at that time. All renting/leasing of keys is done with the red gem currency, which is available to purchase in our store: KepithorStudios.com/shop.

Only 1000 NFT Catacombs Keys will ever exist. These were for sale in our store but have now sold out. Currently, these can only be acquired by purchasing from other players but we plan to regularly offer the chance to win weekly key rentals in social media competitions.

The future of Catacombs
We intend on further developing and updating Catacombs. We already have plans to:
- Make Catacombs a multiplayer experience, allowing you to both run the dungeon & generate income by charging for the two remaining dungeon slots
- Add two additional difficulty levels with even better loots.
- Periodically add new items to the loot table.

King of Karnage

Challenge the current King of Karnage, win and become the new King.
The King is controlled by AI and each time the King is challenged the reigning player receives red gems from the challenge fee.
The deck you used to defeat a King is then recorded and used by the AI to defend your throne, so you can freely change your deck to play other modes without worrying.

There are 10 levels to King of Karnage, everyone starts at level 1.

Defeating the level 1 king provides you with 2 options.
1. Take the throne and receive the challenge fees until someone defeats your defending deck. More passive income.
2. Leave the current King in place and move on to the next level.

As you move up each level you can only fight at that new level.
Losing 3 King of Karnage challenges in a row drops you back to down 1 level.
If you lose your throne you continue at the same level.

Lower King of Karnage levels now have rarity locks
Common - unlocks at level 1
Uncommon - unlocks at level 1
Rare - unlocks at level 3
Epic - unlocks at level 4
Legendary - unlocks at level 5

If you start low King of Karnage levels with high quality cards above the correct levels, they will be missing in your deck during battle.

Dynamics characters cannot be used in levels below the dynamics level, they will also be missing in your deck during battle.

Cards are capped at each level. So when challenging the level 2 king, your cards stats are capped at level 2.

Monthly Prizes awarded on the 1st of each month.
Kingslayer prize for killing the most kings at each level.
Dynasty prize for the most times you are challenged whilst king at each level.

When you take a throne, you receive 1 extra defence point every 24 hours you hold your throne.

Pioneer: Kingdom Karnage founders token

The Pioneer is the Kingdom Karnage Founders Token (FT), it is an epic character in game, and a great way to get extra character cards.

Each month a new quest is available to anyone who has a Pioneer.

Complete the quest any time during that month, and you will receive the relevant reward on the 1st of the next month. To see the lastest Pioneer challenges and your progress please view the events page

There are only 1000 Pioneer FTs and all are in circulation. The only way to acquire 1 now is from another player on the Enjin Marketplace.
